FOR SALE...

This is a 1980 classic El Camino Conquista. It is in great shape and runs great.

This El Camino belonged to Dad. It was his pride and joy. His wife Marj, would tell the story of how many times he would put the "For Sale" sign on it, only to take it down within a couple of weeks as he couldn't bear to part with it. So when he died and I learned that she had it up for sale, I bought it as I couldn't bear to see it go to someone outside the family, and I guess I also wanted to hang on as long as I could to a part of Dad.

Dad always said that you have to do what you have to do so I know that he would understand. I have struggled so hard with letting go of the ol' El Camino. Even though I know it is just a "thing", it doesn't make it any easier. My heart broke as I cleaned her up and put the "For Sale" signs in the windows. She sits proudly on display, and although she is the last thing I have to sell, I know that if I didn't Dad would kick my butt if I put my silly ol' sentimental attachment before my well-being.
So if anyone reading this blog is interested, or knows of someone interested, please point them in my direction. :-)
